Nobel Peace Prize laureate and pro-reform advocate, Mohamed ElBaradei, has been put under house arrest on Friday, Egypt’s security officials said. Police told him not to leave his suburban home in Cairo after he joined thousands of protesters in the capital on Friday amid a massive popular uprising that has swept Egypt. ElBaradei returned to the country Thursday night from abroad and declared he was ready to lead the protesters.
